Every October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we encourage Owners to help send a breast cancer survivor on vacation through our Revive and Thrive program, which we launched in partnership with Send Me On Vacation, a non-profit organization dedicated to gifting vacations to financially disadvantaged breast cancer survivors.
Thanks to our ongoing partnerships along with our incredibly charitable Owners, we’ve been able to provide some much-needed R&R to more than 30 women so far. This year, Grand Pacific Resorts was honored to sponsor the fundraising and also contribute a $2,000 donation that will fund vacations for two additional breast cancer survivors in 2021.
Our collective donations will send Cheryl, a two-time metastatic breast cancer survivor, on a trip that will help her find the strength to care for herself while she attempts to heal both physically and emotionally after years of rigorous treatment. Cheryl was inspired to sign up for a chance to take a trip through Send Me On Vacation after her friend Lauri attended one and returned feeling fully renewed and ready for a fresh start.
As an Owner, you understand the value of vacations firsthand, and we’re so proud to have such a generous Owner base that would so willingly donate their week to a woman in need. If you’d like to get involved with this cause, you can do so by donating your week through GPX Revive & Thrive or by making a donation directly to Send Me on Vacation.
