October, Carlsbad CA – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Grand Pacific Exchange, the internal exchange network exclusively for owners with Grand Pacific Resorts, encouraged their 70,000 person owner base to celebrate Pinktober by donating their week to a cancer survivor through Send Me On Vacation. The response has been overwhelming with a total of 22 weeks donated to the Revive & Thrive program. Grand Pacific Resorts matched the generosity in October with a $1,000 cash donation for every week donated to cover transportation, meals, and anything else the cancer survivor may need to have the most relaxing vacation ever.

Send Me On Vacation provides financially disadvantaged breast cancer survivors with a much needed vacation. Revive & Thrive was created by Grand Pacific Resorts in partnership with Send Me On Vacation to give owners the opportunity to use their vacation ownership for good and transform the life of a family in need.

“Watching our owners be inspired to give their week, plus supplementing it with an uplifting message to a survivor, is a reflection of family values at their very best in vacation ownership,” says Renee Wagner, Senior Director at Grand Pacific Resorts. “For us, it’s all about ‘What Matters to You, Matters to Us, and I’m so proud that our owners partner with us to benefit this cause. These women and their families have been through so much, from medications to hospital visits to financial challenges. They deserve these vacations, and our owners are graciously giving them an opportunity for a week long process of emotional healing through a vacation experience.”

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and ‘going pink’ is a symbolic way to show support for the people impacted by this disease. More women are diagnosed with breast cancer than any other cancer, and Grand Pacific Resorts is proud to have  so many vacation  owners generously supporting the cause with a donation of  their use week to a family in need.
