Every year, Grand Pacific Resorts partners with Send Me On Vacation, a non-profit organization dedicated to gifting vacations to cancer survivors.
Grand Pacific Resorts and Send Me On Vacation were thrilled to send seven breast cancer survivors on vacation at the Carlsbad Beach Inn and Resort. The women spent the week enjoying chef-prepared meals, self-care workshops, crafting keepsakes, and above all, taking time to reflect and rejuvenate alongside fellow survivors in a beautiful setting.
“I had been searching for a break, a respite from the demands of daily life. This trip wasn’t just a vacation on a beautiful Southern California beach, but rather a time to shed all of my responsibilities and expectations, allowing me to focus on my well-being and reflect on the last couple of years. The incredible opportunity that Send Me On Vacation provided has allowed me to rediscover myself, heal, rest, and process everything I’ve been through. It helped me return feeling more whole, making me a better wife, mother, employee, and person,” said Jennifer, a Send Me On Vacation recipient.
The resort management company created the Revive & Thrive Program, which encourages its 90,000-strong owner base to consider donating their week to a breast cancer survivor. The response has been overwhelming, with more than 30 donated weeks so far. For each donated week, Grand Pacific Resorts helps with additional costs like transportation, meals, and anything else the survivor may need to enjoy a carefree vacation.
“We were honored to provide these women, who have faced so many challenges, with a restorative vacation as part of our long-standing commitment to giving back,” said Renee Wagner, RRP, Senior Director of Marketing at Grand Pacific Resorts. “I’m incredibly proud of our owners who enthusiastically collaborate with us in support of this cause year after year. And witnessing our associates go the extra mile to create a relaxing and memorable week for these truly deserving survivors showcases our core values in action.”
