Grand Pacific Resorts was in the 10News studios recently to talk about the 15th Annual Christel House Open International Golf Tournament, which will be held June 12, 2017 at Shadowridge Country Club in Vista, California.

David Brown, Co-President of Grand Pacific Resorts, and Renee Wagner, Director of Marketing at Grand Pacific Resorts, spoke with Anchor/Reporter Jason Martinez of the ABC affiliate in San Diego, 10News about the golf tournament and the support it will lend to Christel House International.

Christel House works with impoverished children to provide them an educational path that will help them become leaders in their communities. They do that through learning centers they build and operate in Mexico, India, South Africa, Venezuela and even here in the U.S. in inner city Indianapolis.

Students like Angel Kumar, who enrolled at Christel House in 2013 and went on to college to study psychology and journalism, are a great example of the difference that is being made in children’s lives.

Angel was a third-grader when her parents told her she had to quit school. She loved learning, but both of her parents were day laborers and barely made enough money to support the family in their hometown of Bangalore, India.

She enrolled at Christel House, following in the footsteps of her older brother, who had done the same, and today, Angel is well on her way to success. FOR MORE ON HER STORY
