Environmental Advocacy Group Receives $1,200 from

Timeshare Management Company to Support Restoration of Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (June 25, 2015) – Grand Pacific Resorts, a timeshare management company with resorts in the Lake Tahoe area, presented the League to Save Lake Tahoe with a $1,200 check on June 15, 2015, to support the organization’s advocacy work. The presentation came at the conclusion of a two-day scavenger hunt involving four travel bloggers, who competed to raise funds for the environmental group and the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe.

“Preserving this beautiful area is important to us, our owners, and our guests,” explained Renee Wagner, RRP, Director of Marketing at Grand Pacific Resorts, “They come to our resorts in Tahoe to relax in the spacious suites. But they also come here to explore the great outdoors—to take the kids for a hike in the mountains, to cruise the lake on a stand up paddleboard. It’s important that we preserve those experiences for the next generation. That’s why Grand Pacific Resorts is proud to present Keep Tahoe Blue with this donation. It serves as recognition of and support for the work they are doing to protect the area.”

Wagner presented the check to Darcie Goodman Collins, PhD, the League’s Executive Director. The League to Save Lake Tahoe will use the donation to continue its local programs, which include promoting restoration, combating pollution, tackling invasive species, and protecting the shoreline. According to Goodman Collins, “Earth has 307 million lakes, but only one Lake Tahoe. This generous donation from Grand Pacific Resorts will help us as we steward the lake and engage in citizen science to Keep Tahoe Blue for generations to come.”
