Grand Pacific Resorts is proud to honor breast cancer survivors through our ongoing partnership with Send Me On Vacation (SMOV)—a nonprofit organization that gifts healing getaways to those who have faced breast cancer. This collaboration reflects the heart of GPR Cares, our companywide commitment to giving back and making a difference in the communities we serve.

Through our Revive & Thrive program, Grand Pacific Resorts Owners have made these restorative trips possible by donating their vacation weeks to survivors in need of renewal. We’re deeply grateful for their generosity, which we match by covering essential expenses such as meals, activities, and other costs—ensuring that each survivor can truly relax, recharge, and rediscover joy. To date, Owners have contributed over 800 vacation weeks, each one creating a ripple of hope and healing.

This October, eight breast cancer survivors enjoyed a week of rest, reflection, and connection at Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort. The experience was filled with opportunities to nurture the body, mind, and spirit—made even more meaningful by the incredible generosity and hands-on support of our owners.

Our wonderful Owner Ambassadors, Jim & Shelly, went above and beyond by donating their time and expertise to make the week truly special. Drawing on their experience as compassionate listeners and counselors, they offered comfort and encouragement every step of the way. Jim connected with participants during the walking food tour, creating moments of genuine conversation and care, while Shelly hosted a thoughtful crafting session that became a true moment of zen—a space to slow down, share stories, and lift one another up. Shelly also donated all the supplies herself, ensuring each detail reflected her kindness and attention to creating something meaningful.

Meanwhile, Patty, an owner at Olympic Village Inn, made sure the group was well-fed throughout the week, even bringing in her son and his pizza oven for a fun and delicious evening together. Their generosity embodied the spirit of connection that defines Grand Pacific Resorts.

The week culminated in a Craft Fair Mixer, where survivors, resort guests, and associates came together to celebrate creativity and community. Handmade crafts and raffle ticket sales raised funds to support future survivor vacations, turning moments of joy into lasting impact.

The week at Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort was a beautiful reflection of what can happen when compassion meets community.
