Mother’s Day is this weekend, and we celebrated by surprising 80-year-old Julie with a GPX vacation! Julie is an amazing mother and grandmother, and her daughter Janet jumped at the chance to enter her mom in our Mother’s Day story contest. The family won a week vacation anywhere in the world from GPX. We surprised Julie with the news at San Clemente Cove, where Janet is an owner.
Here’s the winning story:
“My mom loves the beach. Her love of the beach started at a young age when she would travel back and forth to Catalina Island on her dad’s boat. We didn’t have a lot of spare cash to take trips as a family growing up but that never stopped her from taking us to the beach. There were four of us but she would always add in a couple of kids from the neighborhood. These were the memories of our childhood vacations. Nowadays, at the age of 80 she spends most vacations visiting grandkids in different states. She has been to Hawaii and loves it! It is the ultimate vacation spot for her. We hope to take her there soon.”
