Over $43K Raised at Last Month's Charity Walk!

The Hawai'i Lodging & Tourism Association's Annual Charity Walk is our largest fundraiser of the year and once again we raised more money than any other resort on the island!

Special recognition goes to Lillian Watari, our Guest Services Manager (pictured above). Every year she generously gives her time to rally support for the Charity Walk.

Once again, Lillian won the event's 'Golden Slippah,' which is awarded to the individual that raises the most funds. This is the fifth year in a row she has received this award!

All of us here at Hanalei Bay Resort would like to extend a warm thank you to those of you who donated,

walked alongside our staff, or bought a T-shirt to help support our Kauai communities. It means a lot to us, and especially to Lillian, to have you join our efforts.

Annual Meetings

The Annual Meetings held April 30 through May 2 were a great success!

We enjoyed spending time with those who could attend and want to congratulate our new Board of Director members who were elected.

Election Results

Kauai's Historical Spring Floods

As most of you are aware, the North Shore of Kauai was hit with record rainfall in April. Hanalei was flooded, causing many businesses to close for a period of time and closing the road past Hanalei.

Though the storm was fierce at the resort, there is little evidence of any impact today.

Ten VOA units had some flood damage, mainly to carpet and padding. All ten were repaired and returned to service within a week. Two whole unit condos also sustained some flood damage.
