Hello Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge Owners!
The crisp fall weather has turned all of the aspen and maple trees into beautiful fall colors of red, orange and yellow. The foliage on the resort grounds and the local area are amazing. With the most recent rain storm, the lake has risen three and a half inches. While it is still two inches below its natural rim, this is a great start for the fall/winter season. We’re hoping for another great winter to help raise the lake’s water levels and keep fire danger away.
The Front Desk Team has done a great job managing inventory. They were able to exceed the budgeted goal for the summer by $50,000. This puts the resort in excellent financial standing moving into the shoulder season. The resort ranked number two within the Grand Pacific Resorts Guest Satisfaction Scores. We are firmly ranked number two on Trip Advisor as well. We ask that you help us achieve our goal of making it to number one by sharing how much you enjoyed your stay.
All units have received new kitchen packages this quarter which includes larger utensils, Cuisinart coffee makers and toasters, and kitchen linens. Hand mixers were also added to the units by popular request.
I’d like to announce that Angelica Bojorquez is our BE EPIC Champion for the third quarter. She has been with the housekeeping team for three years and takes great pride in her work. Angelica loves making and creating unique origami’s for our units taking pride in these special touches to make your stay more enjoyable.
All Associates have just attended a GPR Listens meeting with the team at Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley hosted by Nigel Lobo, Chief Operating Officer, and Marianela Atencio, Director of People & Culture.
During this meeting Associates had the opportunity to voice their opinions and provide management with a better understanding of our Associate’s needs.
The meeting was celebrated with a great pizza party enjoyed by all. The team will soon be taking the annual Associate Survey. Last year Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge received a score of 100%. This shows we are focused on our Associates and that our team is happy and satisfied with their work conditions which creates a wonderful environment for you, our Owners.
The maintenance team has been busy making improvements throughout the resort grounds. Most recently Hospitality Safety and Security Services, a third party vendor, completed its safety inspection and walkthrough of the resort with Marsi Gigler, Manager of Insurance and Risk Management. Railings have been added to the stairwell on Unit#6, and the lakeside deck and all units now have carbon monoxide detectors. The resort truck has received a brand new clutch and transmission and is running like new.
The lakeside Jacuzzi remodel has been completed and looks fabulous. We have also replaced the pool heater and filtration system with a sand filter. The heater is energy efficient and will last for years to come. The new sand filter system will be easier to maintain and is more efficient. We’re excited about this upgrade and look forward to savings in electric and gas expenses.
My beloved dog Molly passed peacefully on October 22nd. I know you all loved and cherished her as well. You and your children watched her grow up and took several resort hikes with her. She will be missed. I thank you for your support that you have shown me always as your manager and friend.
As soon as the snow flies we know you’ll be eager to get your ski legs going. Call the Front Desk at (530) 546-6262 Ext. 0 to book a night or two of Bonus Time. Come enjoy the slopes, snow shoeing or any of the many winter sports your beautiful Lake Tahoe has to offer. I look forward to seeing you all in the near future.
Warm Regards,
Erin O'Brien
