2000 Panorama Drive, Bag 7000, Panorama, BC Canada V0A 1T0

Skiing in Panorama: 4000 feet above the village sits the Panorama Peak where skiers can gaze out across the Canadian Rockies and Purcells snowcapped mountain ranges. All levels of skiers can enjoy skiing in and out of the village that sits just at the base of 120 different trails. Panorama Mountain is also part of the Canadian Rockies Super Pass Ski Area.

Beginners & Terrain Park: Panorama is a great mountain for beginners and they will leave knowing they rode on some of the top slopes in all of Canada. The mini Red Carpet run gives the young ones and beginners plenty of opportunity to practice turns and stopping when they need to. Once they have conquered the basics, the Silver Platter run will raise the bar and build the skiers confidence. This is when they will get a good feel for their board and skis before exploring more of the mountain. Finally, the riders are ready to jump on a lift and head up the part of the mountain on the Mile 1 Quad. Friendly attendants will help the skiers on and off the lift and the run will give the rider a taste of the amazing views and a winding trail back down to the village.

Ski Panorama Snow School: Instructors can help you get up on your feet in no time. The highly trained instructors can show you the latest techniques and how to have the most fun on the mountain. If you are just starting out or have only skied once before, a quick lesson will maximize the amount of time and fun you have on the slopes. Advanced lessons are available for skiers wanting to experience the Taynton Bowl and master the backcountry deep powder.

Night Skiing: Sometimes things are just better at night! Enjoy riding the slopes on the Mile 1 Quad with the stars to guide you! Rising 1,200 feet above the village, the Showoff trail is over a mile long. Don’t be afraid of falling of any cliffs, this terrain is a smooth ride, great for all abilities and groomed daily, with romantic lighting to guide you on your journey down. Many customers may be confused about the benefits of skiing at night and should know that it is more than just expanded skiing sessions. Without the sun melting the snow causing ice to form, the snow is left to its natural light and fluffy form, a dream for any skier or snowboarder. Plus, the trails tend to be less crowded, giving you the opportunity to glide back and forth at your own leisure. Furthermore, the expanded terrain and high speed lift access creates an exciting atmosphere in the village at night. Open seven days a week, skiers and snowboarders can ride in the dark any day they choose.

Night skiing lift tickets are available at Panorama Guest Services in Ski Tip Lodge and are $19 for adults, $16 for youth/senior and $9 for junior. Anyone that has either a 2011/12 Season Pass or a full day/half day lift pass that is valid for the same day can go night skiing without purchasing an additional lift ticket. Night skiing runs from 4p to 9p daily.
