Resort Update (continued)

...and rivers and waterfalls in the area are flowing. It is a great change after four years of drought.

We all know Squaw Valley is a great place for skiing, but did you know it has many fun, exciting events and activities during the summer. The Village at Squaw Valley hosts many different events and festivals throughout the summer and early fall. The outdoor activities are bountiful with hiking, road and mountain biking, rafting, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, fishing, and golf or you could relax on one of Lake Tahoe’s amazing beaches.

There is fantastic hiking a few minutes away on the Shirley Canyon Trail which follows Shirley Creek with multiple waterfalls and gorgeous scenery. If so inclined, you can hike to the top of the mountain via Shirley Canyon Trail and take part in all the amenities of High Camp, which is located at the top of the Aerial Tram. When you get to the top enjoy a dip in the pool, a refreshment at the Umbrella Bar, or learn more about the 1960 Olympics at the Olympic Museum. Squaw Valley offers free tram rides down from the top of the mountain.

The resort has beach cruisers available to Owners and guests for cycling the scenic bike path along the Truckee River. It is a relatively flat seven-mile ride into Tahoe City where you could visit Commons Beach or have lunch at one of the many lake-view restaurants.

Bonus Time is a great way to escape for a few days to your home-away-from-home and enjoy all the wonderful events and outdoor activities. You may call for Bonus Time 20 days in advance. If the resort is booked, the Front Desk Team will gladly put you on a waitlist. Please remember to inform the Front Desk if you plan on checking in later than your scheduled date or checking out early for your timeshare week. This is where we find availability for Bonus Time.

We hope you all have a great summer and look forward to seeing everyone soon.
