Balboa Park is a marvelous place to spend family time together. Discover art treasures from around the world, ancient fossils, and rare animals.

Take in the many theatrical events, puppet shows, and dance and music performances. During May and June, Balboa Park presents a free concert and
outdoor film series, along with many special events and performances perfect for sultry summer evenings.
Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institute
Birch Aquarium is San Diego’s largest oceanographic museum. The aquarium provides programs that feature animal encounters, hands-on-activities,
and creative crafts related to ocean themes. Children learn about ocean conservation and marine life while picking up new skills. The aquarium’s
tanks display marine habitats from the frigid waters of the Pacific Northwest to the tropical waters of the Caribbean and Mexico.
Del Mar Race Track
Place a bet for horse racing at the famous seaside racetrack started in the 1930's by actor/singer Bing Crosby. The racetrack has gained the distinction
as North America's number one track in terms of attendance for more than a decade. Races run July 16, 2008 through September 3, 2008.

of every type fill the 16 square-block district. You’ll want to leave plenty of time to see it all.

Julian is a lovely mountain getaway in the scenic Cuyamaca Mountains, just an hour from San Diego. You’ll go back in time to the days of Julian's
beginnings during the 1870s gold rush. See where gold was discovered, shop in stores housed in historic buildings (some dating back to the 1870s),
sample Julian's famous apple pies and apple cider, hike and picnic amid oaks and pines, or ride down Main Street in a horse-drawn carriage.
Knott's Berry Farm

launch coaster, sending riders to 80 mph in 2.3 seconds. For a different sort of fun, visit the home of the famous PEANUTS gang at Camp Snoopy.

Oceanside Pier
Over ¼ mile in length, Oceanside Pier is one of the largest piers on the west coast. Ruby's 50's-style diner is located at the end of the
pier. No license is required to fish from the pier, and fishing equipment rentals are available. On a clear day, you'll be able to see La Jolla,
the Coronado Islands, and Catalina Island.
